AOMEI PE Builder
Price: $
Creating bootable media based on Windows PE can get complicated at certain times and many users would be thrilled to see a tool which is able to simplify and automate the entire process with image creation. AOMEI has released a free utility which may do just that!
AOMEI PE Builder is a useful tool used to create bootable media based on Windows PE. The media you create can later be used to resolve problems which occur when Windows is not able to boot or you can use it to backup data.
AOMEI has also decided to pack some of their other useful tools such as the AOMEI Partition Assistant and AOMEI Backupper. Other features include Windows Desktop and Explorer, and Windows Recovery Environment. This means you can use your computer almost as if you have booted normally.
This is useful for data backup and troubleshooting. Using the tool is otherwise fairly easy and straightforward. After choosing to create either the 32-bit or the 64-bit version of Windows PE, you are prompted to choose which tools you want to add to Windows PE.
Besides Network and System, you can add useful utilities such as 7Zip, Notepad, SumatraPDF, Recuva, and others to be downloaded and included during the process. Other files and drivers can also be added manually!
The image can be burned to a CD/DVD, a USB boot device, or it can be exported as an ISO file. If everything goes well, the image will be ready in a couple of minutes! Other than that, the tool could use some settings to tweak for the more demanding users.
